Ingress : Google's very own Android game !

Ingress from Google is an augmented reality multiplayer online game created by Niantic Labs for Android devices.
Google is setting new standards in each and every field of work it lays its hands on, and now with Ingress , Google is all set to redefine and set new standards in gaming.
Ingress is a location based realistic Android game in which the game is actually set in the real world. The game Ingress has been given the tag line " There is a world within our world ".
Gameplay probably revolves around finding portals which are opening up all around the world, in real world locations like colleges, theaters, libraries, malls, museums etc. and collection of XM "Exotic matter" with the device.

Game Requirements:
The minimum requirements to run the game are Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread  and 22 MB of memory.
The game is optimized to work only on smartphones so far, not tablets.

Google Glass : Project Glass from Google !

Google is all set to take the next big step !
Project glass has been published in Time Magazine New York, USA as " The Best Invention of the year 2012 " in November 2012. 
Project glass was unveiled by Google in June 2012 as the next big thing. Google is a company that gives a strong support to new innovations, by the announcement of Project glass Google has proved itself once more. Project glass will have a new shot at portable computing and also new development of software and new ways in which the information will be displayed to the user. The ultimate goal will be to enable the user to handle almost all computer tasks hands free. Project glass is said to work on Google's very own Android Operating System. It comes to us as little surprise as Android is used by a majority of smartphones and other gadgets today. A lot of developers back the Android OS. Coming back to Project Glass or as we use the popularized term Google glasses has been in the news ever since its announcement in June, we shouldn't let the excitement die out, many Android developers too are looking forward to Google's new creation Project Google Glasses.

- The Google glasses maintains a light and hassle free look as shown above.
- The glass display will be placed a little above the eye, not exactly in line with the eye, so it won't disturb the regular activities for which you use your eye.
- Android Operating System.
- The compact design makes it very portable.
- Google search shows the Project glass glasses in many colors, you can choose your favourite.
- The Project glass glasses are expected to have a transparent LCD or AMOLED screen.
- It is said that you can scroll and click by tilting your head

- It will be equipped with small Camera with a flash.

- It can be connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0, however the google glasses are designed to work independently from any phone. 
- It is expected to have a direct connection with the cloud 24/7.  
- Quite obviously the glasses will have Voice Input and Output as well.
- The touch pad will be located at the side and the battery at the rear end of the glasses.

Availability:    
- The Project glass Google glasses is said to be available in 2013 for developers and late 2013 or early 2014 for consumers.
- The pre-order explorer edition of Project glass was made available for $1500 to Google I/O attendees some months back. 



Competition from other companies:
- Golden-i, a head mounted computer from Kopin corporation has released something similar in 2012, but it looks a lot bulkier than the Project glass.
- Microsoft is also developing augmented reality glasses with a patent as a response to Google.
- Other companies are expected to follow this new idea soon.

Nexus 7 in India for Rs. 19,999 (16 GB tablet).

The Nexus 7 by Google, Asus finally hits stores in India at a price of Rs. 19,999. * Croma * is selling the 16 GB Nexus 7 for Rs. 19,999 which is around Rs. 6,000 extra when compared to the $249 price in US dollars. The 8 GB Nexus 7 is now phased out by Google and two 32 GB Nexus 7 tablets have been released of which one has a sim slot therefore adding call facility to the Nexus 7. The Nexus 7 tablets have a very high demand and have become very popular in the US. The Nexus 7 tablet was highly expected to hit Indian shores in November 2012, and so it finally has.
Now the only question is, is it worth the price ?

The LG Nexus 4 was released on 13th November 2012 in many countries like the US, UK, Canada, France, Australia, Germany and Spain. All the Nexus 4 devices were sold out on the first day within a span of minutes. The price of the LG Nexus 4 in US dollars is $299 and $349 for the 8GB and 16GB versions respectively.

HTC One X+ releases with Jelly bean 4.1.1 out of the box !

HTC One X+ as the name goes was released as an upgrade to the HTC ONE X after it was not good enough to take on the likes of Samsung Galaxy S III. Visibly both the phones look the same and have the same display screen of 4.7 inches but some significant necessary features have been added to this phone, for you to call it a complete high end phone.

The HTC One X+ still retains the same looks as the One X, the 4.7 inch display which is a Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen, size 720 x 1280 pixels, with 312 ppi pixel density is left untouched.
An important feature, Corning Gorilla glass 2 is added which is 20% thinner and will give the
One X+ better touch responsiveness than the earlier one used in One X.
The Samsung Galaxy S III will have some good competition from the HTC One X+.
One con of the HTC One X+ is that it does not have a memory card slot like
the Samsung Galaxy S III.

Availability:
The HTC One X+ is available in India at a price of Rs. 40,190.
